Mansfield University's Graduate Admissions Office operates under a rolling admissions policy. We accept and review applications throughout the year and admission decisions are made daily.

Graduate Admissions Requirements:

Evidence of at least one completed undergraduate degree program

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (may calculate GPA on the last 48 semester hours)

Official transcripts from every college/university where coursework was completed

One professional letter of recommendation indicating student's ability to do graduate level coursework (waived if evidence of successful completion of graduate level coursework)

Copy of current teaching certificate, if applicable

Additional Requirements for Majors:
Art Education, M.Ed.
- Portfolio required
- Flexible deadlines for submission are: Fall admittance, prior to April 30th; Spring admittance, prior to November 15th

Certification as an art teacher required for degree only (not required for degree + certification program)
Elementary Education, M.Ed.
- Students admitted to any education program should plan to send copies of their clearances via US mail to: Ms. Jill Scott, 202 Retan, Mansfield University, Mansfield, PA, 16933
- In addition, students must plan to submit passing Praxis I or II scores as applicable to the field of study
Music, M.A.
- On-campus audition required
- Preferred for Education concentration: Minimum of one - two years K-12 teaching experience
Nursing, MSN
- A valid professional nursing license required
- BSN degree completed or any bachelor's degree with the completion of the following coursework:
- Research
- Community Health Nursing
- Pathophysiology / Pharmacology (minimum of 3 credits)
- Health (or Physical) Assessment
School Library & Information Technologies, M.Ed.
- Initial Certification required for degree + certification program (not required for degree only)
Secondary Education, M.S.Ed.
